The GoPro Perspective
The idea for our music video was to give the audience the perspective that they are with the characters, that they are the camera man, the GoPro does this perfectly. In many of the shots we have the camera pans with the character as they walk, the effect the camera lens gives is almost a fish-eye style, it gives perspective of surroundings as well as details of people on screen. There is a clear correlation between the narration and style of film in that it is based on two people in love with memories of each other, but as they distance themselves we want to give the audience a chance to feature in their lives. We have chosen very beautiful locations that anyone would love to go to, Berlin city life and the North Nofolk coast line. The camera really emphasises the locations beauty as well as the people on screen. GoPros are known for their individual interaction, they are known for being used in extreme environments to capture the experience and this is why we chose that camera. Our shots can be described as simple, which some close ups and panning but it so easy on the eye.
Similarly the effect the camera use gives in this video is the perspective that you are apart of beyonces squad, you are there with her, the video is exciting and endearing for the audience because of this, and this is the effect I want to give using this camera
Another being Mac Miller's Clubhouse video.
This gives another aspect of using a Gopro and this being the fish-eye effect, perfect for expnding the view for the audience.
There are many other productions filmed with these cameras such as:
Beyonce 7/11
